New 3030

I guess I am a techno junky as my E-Trac is a great machine, no complaints worth mentioning, yet still I am trying to wade through the mass of data that came with my new CTX-3030. Do this don't do that, can't I read the signs...er manual. I did find a few coins and a copper bracelet on a beach hunt yesterday, still don't have the wireless working right (very low volume), but a big improvement in how quiet it ran. Almost no falsing on some difficult beaches here in San Diego. So more reading and fiddling with controls today, and maybe a local park that gives up goodies like Scrooge passing out gold coins. Wish me luck!:detecting:

In the XChange 2 App, and in the Universal settings, you can set the threshold and volume levels for each of the 4 methods of sound: Detector speaker, detector headphones, WM10 speaker, and WM10 Headphones. There are other settings in the universal that can be adjusted as well. Once you go in and use the XC2 application, you will find it is very useful and easy to set things up.........Good Luck....HH

I had the same problem until I realized I had to flip the toggle switch on my headphones. When using the Etrac there was no sound at all if the toggle was in the wrong positon but on the CTX I get faint volume in the headphones.

I flipped the toggle after trying everything else and the volume came through loud and clear.

Hope this helps.
