The detector is on the brown truck should be here tomorrow my disision based on your reviews had to try this one and see how it compares to machines Ive used.xlt,mxt,6000xl PRO,,teoro superlobo trak,musky,F5,explorer xs,T2,G2,CZ3D,SOV GT,EXCAL 1000,ETRAK,

The Omega is a killer detector...Of the units in my arsenal it is one of the best discriminators and with the stock 10" ellipitical coil it is fantastic in heavy trash. With the discrimination turned all the way up past zinc, I have found many coins buried right along with the trash and very impressive was finding a quarter buried under a pulltab, & nail right next to a bottlecap. When it locks on a coin there is no doubt other then the age of the coin...

I see your arsinal how would you compare the 8000 to the tejon for depth..........

cedarswamp...With the stock monolithic coil, I would have to give the depth edge to the Tejon, all things being equal...They are both fine detectors and the Omega will go as deep as I care to dig.
