New blessing

though at first it might sound not a blessing. Last couple weeks my left arm has been hurting whenever I reach out or above shoulder level. Couple days ago I had an x-ray of it and the prognosis before the results was a possible rotator cup tear. That would be serious surgery and recovery time...neither I wanted to have to go through. I got the results today and there is no tear but possibly something else....thought the guy said I was pregnant....he spelled it out but can't write it down when holding a phone with one hand and the other is in a sling. But am sure he spelled something with pregnant as part of the word.

Anyway, was told the Doc said if I had physical therapy once a week that it should help. I have to travel to Saginaw VA Hospital for PT. Now besides there not being a tear which is a blessing, I get paid travel pay for driving to Saginaw...about $70 for each trip. Sherry said for me to keep all the travel money and get another metal detector. Woohoo.

I also have a couple trips to Ann Arbor in the future....$140 for travel each trip. All goes well they can put me back together and I can invest into a new Minelab before Christmas....well maybe before next spring.

Thank you Father for the great news about the shoulder and You are still making it possible for me to get another detector.

Right now I could get an ACE 150 for $80.....thinking about that...know it wouldn't be as good as a 250. Anyone have or have used an ACE 150? What are your thoughts?

They just came out with an Ace 350! Just wait and the Lord will provide the right machine at the right time!

I had a lot of detectors over the years. The Minelab Explorer II and the Garrett GTAX-1250 were the best I have owned, I had the ACE 250, the GTA1000, Fisher 1280x, Whites Beach Hunter ID, Garrett American S-1 and S-2, Bounty Hunter (one of the '70 model BFO units), Garrett Master Hunter BFO, Tesoro Stingray, Tesoro Eldorado and others I can't remember right now.

Not sure what the next will be. Just a matter of God's timing and what I have in savings for it at the time.

Hello Pete....just remember God's children are the head and not the tail, He wants the best for His faithful servants and will provide a nice detector for you! Just be patient and keep praying and saving the money for it! Just keep believing that God has just the right one for you waiting right at the time you can afford it and you will be blessed with one of the better detectors! Do not settle for crumbs from the Master's table (which satan would want you to have) , but eat of the good our blessed Lord and Savior has for each of us who belong to His family tree! Amen! .........The guy that had L-rotor-cuff tear surgery last 6/17-If you can fix it with therapy,GREAT!!!-ALTHOUGH the surgery wasnt all that bad,the pain pills for afterwards had HORRIBLE side effects,and the therapy-Well;at first I thought they were trying to kill me,BUT today I have FULL FLEXIBILITY,ROTATION -The same amount I did before I injured it;thanks to a #1 surgeon,and #1 therapists that did right by me!!!

Glad you are back to normal....hey, what am I saying 'normal'???? Good that you can get back out detecting and you were able to find that ring. My sister-in-law had the same surgery as you and I saw how much pain she was in. She had some machine that kept her shoulder iced up to help reduce swelling and pain.

Getting old is lousy. We fall apart to easily.

Hi Pete! My real-estate lady in Cuba...said that her mother who is older than me, I think, for Jane is 65, that life was soooooo inconvenient in old age and that is soooooo true! May God have mercy upon us all! Amen! Ma Betty
