New Civil War Site

I see the new Civil War site, however it is not up and running as yet. I will be doing a three month trip from San Diego to Virginia and want to do some Civil War hunting. Like to find out where it is possible to hunt and if anyone out there would mind taking me along with them hunting. I will be in Virginia Beach for about a month but have been told it is near impossible to hunt due to the laws back there. I have a fisher F4 and garritt pin pointer and I hope that would do the trick. Any information would be of great help. Thank you all.
