New coils vrs old coils

I don't know if I can explain this question right or not but I will give it a shot

It may very well be a "wait and see" sort of deal

I know when V4 comes out (June the last I heard) there will be a new coil that will do higher frequencies
20, 30, 40 whatever.

What I have not heard is if this new coil will also do the lower frequencies 4, 8, 12 etc or just the higher ones.

Now if the "New" coil will do all the frequencies does that mean after V4 is released will they start shipping
new machines with upgraded circuit boards in the coils that will allow all the coils 9, 11, etc to work with all frequencies
or will even after V4 is released new 9, 11, 13 inch coils will only be able to do the lower frequencies ?

This is holding me up buying a new Deus, well that and waiting for my tax refund :)

Now I would not be a happy camper to drop my cash on a Deus only to find a month after V4 comes out all new Deus
get a 9 or 11 inch coil with an updated circuit board that does all the frequencies and I am stuck with either sending in my
coil for a free or paid upgrade. This wouldn't be such a big deal if coils were $100 a pop but at $6 or $7 hundred it is something
to be mindful of.

Any thoughts ?

Thanks
DFB

All existing coils will work with the new V4 software this is a fact and has been told by XP Deus many times.

Nowhere has it been said anything about upgrading existing coils. Except rumor mill.

Advantages of the new software will be best with the accompanying new coil BUT will be backwards compatible to existing coils, controls and headphones.

The exact configuration of the coils aside from the stated higher frequencies has not been confirmed anywhere.

The last XP statement said Summer 2016 or later. Alain will not release this new equipment until it's right.

You simply need to wait and see as you said and be glad that all the existing units out there are not being Forgotten.

Go figure I just bought a new one and now their coming out with a new one wish I would have knew.

to calabash digger... the "new" machines are the same as yours is... only with the ver.4 update already installed. but you will be able to update yours to ver.4 when it is available. the only difference will be the new coil...

My 2 cents here.

If I were giving advice to a Deus purchaser,,,, I would recommend the 11" coil, NOT the 9" coil.

The reason is,, after the new coil with version 4 is released,,, if a person now buys the 11" coil setup,,, later after release they will have 2 options,,, buy the newer smaller coil,,, or possibly buy a good used 9" real cheap. It is very possible perhaps likely,,used 9" coils may be goi g might cheap with folks selling to opt for new smaller coil.

I could be wrong here,,,, but right now this is what my crystal ball is telling me.
