General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

Advertisements not adhering to the above rules will be deleted without warning or notification.

New CTX 3030 is on Its Way

After following this forum for about three months and listening to all of the good reviews on the CTX, I couldn't wait any longer. I ordered mine today from Bart at Big Boys Hobbies and I also agree that he is one of the best guys that you could find to deal with. Very accommodating and will back up his advertising by matching any other deals out there. I can't wait to receive mine and start learning how to use it properly. I am sure that since I have been using Whites detectors for years, that I will need some time and help learning this machine, but from all of the good advise that I have seen given by digger and others on this forum, I hope that I will be doing fine in no time. When I finally decided to buy, I contacted other dealers and got their voice mail, but not with Bart. He has answered his own phone every time that I have called and that is something that is hard to find these days. I feel that if he continues this practice, that he will always be there when his customers or future customers need him. That is service with a smile, in my book!

Congrats on the new Detector it is awesome. I myself used Whites for the last 7 years and this is my first Minelab that I have ever used I got to say it LOVES to find Indian and really deep silvers I have had my detector for 9 weeks now and it is my main detector. :twodetecting::minelab::beers:
 
Congrats! What package did you get and for how much? Try to get him to match the 2 day shipping you get from Detector Depot. They are right next to a UPS hub and stuff reaches most of the country in 2 days. My unit was ordered on Wednesday in TN and arrived on my doorstep in NJ on Friday - incredible. Amazon Prime has spoiled me I guess so I feel anything else is snail mail :) Anyway, good luck with the machine!
 
Thanks for the comments and congrats on your decision to purchase the CTX 3030. Since you've been following this forum, you already know that there is much more to the CTX 3030 than simply being a waterproof E-TRAC with GPS. As such, take the time to learn the additional functionality integrated into the FBS2 platform. I would venture to say that most who have been using the CTX 3030 for weeks or even months would tell you that they still learn something new each and every time they take it on a hunt. I've been using it for a LONG time and with all the possible combinations of "settings", I still learn something new each time I take it out. Don't be afraid to experiment with the various Separation modes, Patterns, Audio profiles and target trace capabilities. Knowing the functionality and how it affects the performance at any given site is a much better approach than duplicating someone elses settings. Since you've been using White's for years, don't forget to slow down your sweep speed! But again, since you've been following this forum, you've read that too. Best of luck with your CTX 3030, and don't hesitate to ask questions. There are a LOT of knowledgeable folks here that are very willing to help you out. HH Randy
 
Thanks guys for all of the encouragement and kind words. I cant wait to try it out It is being shipped by UPS and should be here by Wednesday. I am sure that I will be asking allot of questions in the beginning and it is really nice to know that goo experienced help is as close as this forum. Great hunting to all of you.
