New Deepstar 3 photo's.

Here are a few photo’s of the new Deepstar 3.
This unit is probably the most powerful beach detector on the market today. I can personally say it will go deeper than most care to dig to if needed.
The unit is supplied standard with the target probe.
I’m expecting delivery of them within the next few weeks, and I should have information on my web site within the next few days.

A High Power PI detector using Nickel Metal Hydride rechargeable batteries. With several user adjustments, it can be set up for many different situations depending on the sensitivity required and the level of mineralisation. This detector is highly suited for beach hunting, right down to the water's edge and has exceptional depth penetration and sensitivity to small targets. Pinpointing is made easy by switching over from the main coil to the probe.

Supplied with the detector is a 3 piece shaft, battery charger and quick release waist belt.

it compare to the GQ SS as far as sensitivity and depth to small beach gold? Price?

The sensitivity toward real small items may go to the Goldquest SS because it's minimum pulse delay is 10uS., and on the Deepstar 3 it's around 14/15uS..
This is real hard to measure in the real world because the Deepstar 3 has so much more raw power, it more than offsets the few microseconds difference. I don't have any depth figures for jewelry, but I do remember the last Deepstar being able to hit on a Campbell's soup can top at 40"+ using a 11" coil. The customer was using the unit for cache hunting.
The Deepstar is not a high powered Goldquest. It is a completely different circuit. The Deepstar circuitry is the one we used in the Aquastar, and the older Deepstar with a little modern updating. To help with the high power a 15 volt NiMH cell pack is used.
Depending on shipping, and import duty's, the selling price in the US should be around $1800.

Hello Bill and Eric,
Already can see this detector as being a great success for the serious beach hunter, The 14/15uS will enable the detector to operate with much more depth over the 10uS Goldquest or any of the other units operating at or near 10uS. This jewel is going to punch a deep signal into the beach soil..
Also, The added on probe is a must have tool for quick recovery, Even with the Deepstar operating at 14/15uS the unit will still respond to small conductors were the probe will enhance recovery.
Also, More of the deeper silver rings and other valuable targets will come in deeper too. It's a winner.

Paul,
I think the deeeep soft signals are going to have DS3 user's keeping very fit. Still, I wouldn't like to give away my 10uS Goldquest SS as I have some fine section gold and diamond rings that have all but lost their signal when the REJECT is close to 9o'clock/15uS. At 10uS, these same rings come in nice and strong.
I could see myself using both machines on the same section of beach as they could really work well one after the other.
Better start saving those dollar coins,
Tony.

It's surprising what a little extra horsepower can do to enhance those non existent/hard to hear targets.

Bill,
Nice looking unit and has all the controls "outside the box" as I once suggested for the Aquastar. BTW, how does this unit compare to the Aquastar?
Don

Hi Don,
Bill has a computer problem at the moment, so there may be a delay in his giving an answer. Bill will have a Deepstar shortly and will be able to give comparisons It does use the same pcb as the Aquastar, but with a few component differences.
Eric.
