New Deus doesn't react to Propointer like old one did.

I'm not sure why. I have not shifted my frequencies a half this way or a half that way. That is what I usedto have to do when hunting in 18khz or the Deus would pick up my pro pointer everytime my propointer would activate. My new Deus, in 18 khz, doesn't make a peep now. It's a pleasing difference. I used to have to shift my frequency a half one way or the other to keep the ProPointer quiet.

Mine doesn't seem too affected by the GPP unless I'm using 4 Khz.

Bonus!

Did you ever try to reboot your old Deus to see if it would work around your PP? I get alot of interference from kevins Deus between 12 and 17 KHZ, but he doesnt get much from me. I just reinstalled V 2 to see if it would help, and was curious if you had tried that aslo.

No I hadn't tried rebooting, and I'm not real sure what ya mean. But I am willing to learn. BUT...I do need to update this thread: Now....with this new Deus......when I am in 4 khz, I can hear the Propointer in the Deus headphones exactly like I used to do with my last Deus, in 18 khz!!!!! It is still much better, since I hunt mainly in 12 and 18 khz!!!! I was playing in my test garden today using 4 khz. Actually, I was digging up the silver dimes that I had buried last year. I had almost forgot what I had buried and how deep so they were doing me no good. I decided to use the second program (GMaxx Power?) and change the frequecy to 4 khz just for the heck of it. When I get the dimes dug up, I used my Propointer to find them quickly. When I clicked the Propointer on, the headphones started chattering regularly like they used to in last Deus when hunting in 18 khz. It's not really an aggravation. But it makes one curious. I was using the SAME Propointer!!! What changed reckon? All that stuff is too heady for me. (By the way.....found a 1943 Washington quarter hunting in the second preset program yesterday. Untweaked. Just ground balanced)

rebooted = I went to XP's web site and re-downloaded the current version (2.0) to see if that would alleviate the interference Im getting from the other Deus. It also means all of my saved programs went back to factory, but thats not a big deal( ive already resaved my favorites). I dont know how that will go until we get together again, but the interference is very noticeable, especially while running in pitch mode.(even if I go +1 and he goes -1 i still get it)
Your situation is very puzzling, because (I thought) the Garrett PP runs approx 13 khz ?!? I wouldnt think that would interfere with the 4 OR the 18 khz. Something is definitely seems "odd" with the Deus frequencies, but Im not sure what it is.
Its all a little heady for me too, perhaps someone else could shed some light on this.

Oh okay. That's a good idea. I may try rebooting the V2 program into my machine just to see what happens! I can't leave NUTHIN alone. Thanks.....kevin

I pickup my GPP when hunting for a target. I don't find it to be a problem though.
I just make sure that my coil has some distance from the target.
Now I've been hunting with a friend and he has seen the way the Deus has been finding targets that he doesn't.
So now he has one.....
We do pickup each other when we get close, but I find that we just hunt differant places and only interfer when we come together to check each others target...
Love the Deus and the finds...
Just hope that they fix the IRON wrap....

My Deus does not like the PinPointer at all, so just like scrappy cats I keep them apart.

"Something is definitely seems "odd" with the Deus frequencies, but Im not sure what it is"
Could be the Deus is in metric frequency :smoke:
