I think the Id Excel is a great detector.you could say it is the first good metal detector I've owned.The information I've read on this forum has been very helpful.Been out several times with the Excel no real good finds,clads,pulltabs,bottlecaps still had a great time.<EM></EM>
 
Hey Ray, I was wondering if you were having trouble with Ground Balance on the beach? Mine refuses on the beach but seems to function alright . All metal and sens about 8 near water and 9-10 in the dry sand .
 
They are a little hard to ground ballance, Absolutely nothing can be in the ground under the coil and they work very well if it refuses to.
