New F2

I have been really busy, but will get out & paly with it soon. It is in the stable with the Tesoro Compadre, Fisher CZ5, & CZ3d, now.

No offense, but why an F2 with that stable of superior MDs? I liked my F2 OK (first MD) but NEVER feel the need to pick it up again. My CZ5 is far better and F75SE is light years better (just sayin...). I bought and sold a Tek Alpha and it was easily better than the F2.
While you have every right to buy what you like, I was just curious what you expected to gain.

I think it will fill in a niche between the Compadre & the CZ's. I am very hard of hearing & sometimes distinguishing a good signal, from an iffy one, is hard for me , especially with some coins . The F2's quite accurate I.D.'ing, will help,,, I HOPE ! Anyway,,, a new toy to play with. Both of my CZ's have been calibrated & reworked. They are my " go to detector " for deep relics, etc.

Thanks for responding. That makes sense. I am kind of into a dig all phase, so that did not occur to me at all. Please post how that works out when you get a feel for how you like it. Maybe I'll pull my F2 out of mothballs and give it a go again!
