New F70 coming

Rather someone bought it and had it for a very short time and didn't care for it.
I had the F5 awhile ago-Last yea,r and thought it was remarkable for the price.
I hope the F70 is good. Just have to decide how far I want to go with it.
keep it stock or go for the F75 coil.
I'm just looking for coins
thanks
OB
Goodluck to all of us.

I personally own a F70. The stock concentric coil is more than sufficient for coin shooting. The DD coil seems (my personal opinion) to be a bit more stable and run about the same depth as the stock concentric coil. I would hold off on purchasing a new coil for a while.

ok thanks-Just wondering why not to much is said about the 70.
It should be a really good machine-Like Easy money or lucky larry says or what ever his name is.
there is only about two inches difference betweem a couple hundred dollar machine and a $1200 machine.
Well we will see
OB

the stock coil works fine
let the good times roll :detecting:

I upgraded from a F-2 to a 70 and I love it, took a bit to get use to but, I have seen a higher coin count and lower trash digging with the 70. The F-70 is a coin monster I think you will enjoy it. If you look at zeekeys post It will give a good base for settings and you can tweek from there I finally got mine figured out and its running quieter. good luck and happy hunting Stryker

I have owned many detectors in my 32 years of detecting. Own 11 now. Love my XLT. But lately the F70 has become my go to detector. Don't get carried away with the sensitivity control. I hunt mostly with mine set at 20. Plenty of depth and very good seperation.....Jack

OB the F70 is a very good machine. All of the posts above are good. Jack said it best don't get carried away on sensitivity. There are so many settings that can be tried it gets confusing. Just run the default settings until you get used to using the F70. It is a great coin hunting machine. That is what I do coin hunt. I do a lot of beach hunting and it does a great job on the beaches. You picked a very good machine to get. Coil: if your going to do playgrounds or trash areas I would go with the small coil instead of a larger coil. The standard coil works just fine.

Hello,I used an f75 for a couple years & really liked it,made a lot of nice finds. I decided to try the f70 because of the slow mode & adjustable threshhold.I can actually get more usable depth with the 70 over the 75.I use the11" dd coil but the stock coil is very good.Set sens.@ 40,thresh.@1,& run it in slow mode & you will see awesome depth with great seperation (the 6" & 5"dd coils are killers @ these settings).Sens.@ 40 is plenty hot with a good bit of chatter but 20-30 calms it down & still get great depth.Cons ? my 70 seems to false more on deep nails compared to the 75,at least at these settings.Hope this helps. You're getting a great machine.Good luck,Mac

Mac thanks for the settings. Used them today and worked well. The chatter was low like listening to threshold but little chirps and grunts. Dug all repeatable signals. With deeper signals the meter reading isn't much help(numbers were jumping around but staying in coin range). Have to really do more experimenting. Quarters reading in the 90's. Sens@40, Thres@1, Disc@1, Mode SL, Tone@3H. Dug 6 quarters, 5 dimes, 4 nickels, 7 pennies before it got way to hot to detect. Did get in a few hours though. This detecting was done on the beach. Threw a quarter in a hole of about 8" and it rang out nicely. Will be trying settings again next time out. Thanks again. HH and Happy Trails.....Z
