New FA mode!! Thumbs up!

I had a chance to use the FA mode yesterday. We were hunting a CW Calvary camp. I hit a spot that was full of iron. Mostly square nails. I decided to switch over to the FA mode. It was unbelievable. I was getting solid grunts (2F). I switched to FA and immediate got a solid high tone reading 48-49. I dug it and there was so much iron I couldn't hardly find it w my pinpointer. But it was a shotgun hull buried in all that iron. It picked it up very cleanly. I found two hulls like that in the middle of that iron w my 11" coil. I can't imagine how good it would be w the 5" coil.

I was able to find some nice goodies using FA mode that I may not of found otherwise. When I checked the targets I found with the other modes like JE and especially BP I had to slow my swing speed down to get them. They sounded better in the old modes, but I don't think I would of found them because of how fast I normally swing my machine. FA mode is great for speeding up how quick you can nab good targets amongst junk and iron, and its ability for covering larger areas in less time. I was still getting pretty good depth too, but the deeper hits require a keen ear.

What did you find buddy?

I really like the FA mode. My buddy and I hit an old home site loaded with all kinds of trash. I was using the stock 11 coil. I walked over an area he had just hit with the AT Pro, and got a quick high tone. I dug all kinds of iron bits out of the hole and pulled out a nice silver Washington quarter. I'll go back there with the 5 inch coil, once the snow melts. It looks to be a good spot, just an extraordinary amount of junk!
