New Golden uMax

New member
Got my new Golden uMax yesterday and read the booklet. Took it out this morning for a 45 minute test run without really knowing the machine. As picture shows I intentionally dug all so that I could get typical "junk" to help adjust the notch on it. I have yet to really understand that feature, but figure with the normal fair of trash items I should be able to mess with settings at home here. I like the clear sounds from coins and am glad a also picked up a nickel on first run.

You got a great machine!

New tone! So if I detect a soccer field for example where both girls\guys play, do I use the notch switch (narrow or wide) and the set up?
THANKS
MIKE

This one has the tones, took it out today and trying to learn the tones and machine

I haven't used the notch yet. Thought I would get use to it a bit before I try that

True, dimes are hitting good

All you need to do is set the notch width switch so that the Gold tone (nickel tone) responds nice and hard on foil (not foil paper). Then hunt that tone.

Good luck.
Mike
