New invention

Some of you may remember my invention of combining a weed whacker with a metal detector so that work could be done as I play. Please recall my idea of connecting a series of metal detectors to a cart that could be pulled and when a metal object detected, a can of spray paint would mark the general vicinity of the target. Well my new invention is to aluminize the plastic mesh that sod producers use to keep sod together. Groundskeepers at parks etc would love it for it would dissuade metal detecting in the park with the digging of the lawns etc.

What do you folks think of that idea? An alternative would be to incorporate shredded aluminum beverage cans in the sod soil.

Am I about to be kicked off this forum?

I have found that shredded aluminum cans appear many times in the coin portion of the EM spectrum on my metal detector. In some areas, the "static" or false signals is so bad that it is no longer fun searching. I was thinking that a park could be made "un-searchable" by the intentional addition of such "flack." I wonder if ayone has patented such an idea?

wayne actually a church on the Florida coast with a treasure story in the area kept getting dug up at night by treasure hunters. lot of yard damage. they went to a zipper company and bought a load of brass zipper teeth, the ones that are rejected and are recast, they broadcast them over the yard, and areated them in. so much for that! we have a zipper factory here. i have night mares about my parks! the aluminum tabs are bad enough.

Somebody get rope!
