NEW MACHINE

I currently own an Explorer XS, but am thinking about buying another machine. What is the general thoughts on the Explorer-11 Verses the new Quattro. Who has an opinon on either. If it was your $$$$ which would you buy?

If your are comfortable with the XS, I would go to the II. It remains the top dog from Minelab. The Quattro is a very good detector, but best suited for those who'd rather "turn on and go" and not customize their own programs. Being more versitile however, the II has more to control; and give. Thus the end results tend to belong to the EX-II. Again, if you prefer easy to go, the Quattro uses the Explorer's FBS circuitry, is compatible with all Explorer accessories, and offers 4 main programs: Coins, Coins/Jewelry, Relic and All Metal with the option to adjust the main settings. DVD/Video's are available for the EX-II (free with Explorer II's) plus Andy Sabisch publishes a book on the XS and a new one on the Quattro. If your undecided about the II or Quattro, I suggest buying a DVD on the II, or the Quattro book for research. We sell them in DVD or video, and carry autographed copies of the Quattro book.
