Hey everyone. Im new to the forum and etrac still getting my feet wet with it in mn but im slowly figuring this beast out. Im figuring out the deeper signals now and am hoping it reveals a whole new layer of coins. Can anyone tell me the difference between stock coin program and andys program in the field and what setting should a guy use or is it just personal prefrence. Im going out this weekend with andys pattern for the first time and am wondering what I can expect

Welcome to the forum!

I think Andy's pattern is similar to the stock coin pattern, only opened up a little more. Both work well--except if you use the stock coin pattern, you'll want to open up the upper right hand corner to eliminate the possibility of missing silver dollars. I personally use a pattern that is somewhat in-between the stock coin program and Andy's pattern. It pretty much comes down to personal preference. I don't think you could go wrong with either.

Looking forward to pictures and stories of your finds. Good luck and happy hunting.

Thanks for the info I've been using stock program like everyone has said and im pretty comfortable with it now so I think its time to try some new approaches. I've been hunting cornfields where country schools used to be and some early farms all have been cleared for cropland but they're awesome to hunt in. If anyones got pointers for fields let me know thanks for the help!
