I just got a new hobby and a new Etrac. I am having a ball with it. I do have a question about it,I got to go relic hunting today and found 2 bullets 1 3 ring and 1 Enfield. My brother in law located another one and called me over to check it with the Etrac and it wouldn't even pick it up. After he dug it it was only 4 inches deep. I am running the stock relic program. Am I expecting to much from the detector or should it be picking up that.

4 inches shouldn't even phase that machine. Could possibly be masked by iron from a different direction. Another possibility is you might have discriminated out part of your screen. How hot is your soil, certain parts of Virginia have pretty tough soil.
Welcome to a great hobby!
