Boomer's dad here-Had to change my user name to protect the innocent-ACTUALLY;had problems with posting,so HERE I AM again!!I JUST got on WIRELESS HIGH SPEED and its SWEET!!!Wont miss any phone calls anymore;either......SO:IM BACK,and y'all are just gonna have to LIVE WITH IT!!!.....

Welcome back wg! I like your new name and I'm sure Boomer is still growing and doing great! I have AT&T U-verse now, since yesterday, and will have to learn where all my favorite channels are again on my new service! Fast speed getting on the Net and loading Videos! I also will hear and know I've got calls when on the Internet and I can call anytime and anywhere in the USA and Canada and another country, without extra chgs, but probably will never use the foreign ones! So far, I think I like it but may have to discontinue what I have or get a smaller pkg when my 6 months of discounts are gone! The AT&T salesman caught me in a good mood and feeling better that day of ordering it!

May God Bless! Ma Betty

I was thinking about you last Saturday. We had an orientation at the new church building for all the musicians and singers. You would have loved it. The place is absolutely beautiful. The sound system is awesome as is the acoustics. No more floor monitors. All in ear monitors (had to pick up a pair of isolating ear buds) with personal mixers for up to 16 channels of something like a choice of 40 inputs. Total control of volume, EQ, reverb, etc., for each channel. The amps for the electric guitars aren't even on the platform. They're in the back in enclosed boxes with 2 mike in it. Never saw that before; pretty cool. Have my first worship team rehearsal this Saturday for the first service in the new building on the 21st. We'll be the "Living Faith Christian Church" from now on. I'm REALLY excited about it.

How's boomer? :)

I know, but others might not? Good name! :)

...Been around all that sophisticated stuff-I HAVE,though;played through amps on my 6-string,and sang thru mikes-but Ive NEVER been able to replicate the golden sound of an acoustic guitar on amp;and where I play in my church;I dont really need amp anyway.I dont have hook-up provision to an amp on my guitars, folks at church have told me my guitars sound great-Projection,voice,depth.I have a Guild D-15 all mahogany 6 string;almost 25 years old,now-The finish is gettin rubbed off the lower bout where my R-arm rests on her when playing, scratches on her,dents-BUT OH,THAT SOUND!!!......If I could find a system like you will have there,a removable mike pick-up for her would surely be in the works!!!I also have a newer Ibanex Exotic Wood acoustic 6-string in Zebrawood finish, kind of an orangish-brown tint-PRETTY-BUT AS WE KNOW,beauty in an axe only goes as far as HOW DOES IT SOUND???In this case, for an only 3 year guitar, sounds pretty good-Except for a buzz in the 3rd string and I cant find the source of it.My all time favorite acoustic is the C.F.Martin D-45 Dreadnought-Thats my favorite model of 6 string, the D'nought-for the sound quality-Only problem is the Martin retails for around NINE GRAND!!!:surrender:Thats NOT electric,either...BUT,Ever since I played one years ago;I found that in the right hands, the thing almost plays itself.Y'all should go to the C.F.Martin website and have a look-see for youself them gorgeous Martins!!!Every now and again;I go to the Guitar Center in Flint to play on some of their higher-end acoustics.Problem is with that;everybody and their aunt goes in there and plays 'em-and ?How many reeeeeally know what theyre doin??Whats worse;"what ya see is what ya get" if ya wanna buy one-None in cases un-touched,ya buy whats out for everybody to bang on:look:I remember once,I was on vacation;and I heard a couple guys "playin" acoustics and "singing"down the way.......They both had Taylor acoustics-NICE guitar(Remember a while ago when I said in the right hands, the Martin would almost play itself???Hate to say it,but these guys needed a "play itself"guitar)-They gave off the impression they were the next big thing outta Nashville-NOW,Im not sayin Im Nashville material, but what better critic than one "musician"to another??THAT SAID,they sounded more like a cat that got its tail caught in the screen door-AND EVERYBODY LISTENING TO IT THOUGHT IT WAS GREAT!!One woman there asked me "DONT YA THINK THEY ARE GREAT??"....I said-to be nice-"UN-FORGETTABLE is more like it"...im thinking about bringing one of my 6-strings to the Forum Hunt so's we can have some music during our breaks between swinging;if that OK with Mike, and all y'all.ONE THING Ive learned in the music circle:The first time somebody unknown opens his mouth to sing,or play any instrument;it becomes apparent REAL QUICK if they belong up in front of an audience;or not-NOT A LOT OF PEOPLE can get up and do it;its DEFINITELY a gift from the LORD if ya can-AMEN!!!
