Finally getting a chance to use it. Seems simple but, two questions
when i go to ground balance and you hold the ground balance button some times their is a series of beeps, sometimes not why is that, am I doing something wrong or right.
also sometimes when I go to pinpoint the object disappears I release the pinpoint it appears, and if I pinpoint with out the pp button and dig it up there is an object there.
I think once i get the machine figured out I'm going to like it.
thanks for the help

You are probably not doing anything wrong, if following the instructions. The Omega 8000 can be auto-balanced (Ground Grab) in either the All Metal auto-tune mode or the silent-search motion Discriminate mode. You will have more audio information if you use the All Metal mode with a slight Threshold setting (adjusted with the Sensitivity control). Remember, to achieve a good, functional ground Cancel setting you should bob or pump the coil fairly briskly over a metal-free spot of ground. Quickly raise and lower the search coil from about 6"-8" down to about 1". The Ground Grab's auto-balance is very quick and usually is accomplished within 1 to 5 pumps of the coil and will be noted with the Ground Phase read-out (lower right) on the display calms down to a stable number
