New park and high school night hunt

Lakota

New member
Well had a pretty good day with my girls at a new park . Clad was flowing only older find was just before we left, 55' wheat .

Got home and needed to make a store run so hopped in the Jeep and stopped by a high school football field I hunted last weekend, first target I hit was in the low to mid 70s but jumping into the low 80s at 3"-3 1/2" low and behold I finally dug my first silver Roosevelt. Nice condition 58' and went on to add to the over all clad count for the day.

Hope everyone else has as good a weekend.

Nice work! That shows some heads up hunting! Seems the people that always have the detector and take advantage of little windows of opportunity make some good finds. Congratulations on the silver and wheat! Where are you at in the World, Lakota?

Mud I'm in Arkansas. Yeah I have some great results from lunch hunts and evening trips after work.

This 58' keeps my silver streak alive, in the last two weeks I have found two mercs 42' and a 1918 and my first war nickel a 43'.

Also any tips on getting pics small enough to post would be great guys, every pic I have tried including my avatar wouldn't work due to size.

Hey there Lakota. Here's a few shots from my scanner and my camera of goodies from this year. I took the pictures with my scanner or my camera and just loaded them with the Paint program. Then to resize them I hit the Edit menu, chose "Select All" so the entire pictue is highlighted.
Then went to the Image menu and chose "Stretch/Skew" and a window pops up where you can select how much to change the picture by percentage. Only use the horizontal and vertical options. Put the same percentage in each box, say 50%. Then hit "OK". Now the picture is half of its original size.

Now go to the Edit Menu again and chose "Attributes" you can use the same method to make the picture background the same size as your picture. The difference is under the "Attributes" option you will the picture size in inches, centimeters or pixels. Experiment with some pictures and you will be good at it in no time.

If you are downloading pictures from your camera or scanner the process is the same. Just plug in the camera, wait until your computer sees it connected and open Paint and go to the File menu and select the "From scanner or camera" option.
