New pouch and 3 silvers

I thought winter was here for good, but it warmed up into the 50's yesterday. We've had a month of football playoffs(yes, we won the championship!), so I thought I'd cherry pick around the football field. Because the field has been kept clear of snow(no insulation), it was hard to dig through the first 2". Still...I found some clad.

Then I moved to the practice field(the old field). I had found a probable pocket spill IN the field centered on the goalpost in Sept...but I didn't want to dig there while they were using the field. I picked up another wheat and some more clad and found a '51 dime.

I think I found where the second set of "Home" bleachers was. Lots of junk signals, some pennies, and the two silver dimes I got on video. A '59 and a '60 Canada dime.
11-23-2011 Silver ARRGGGG...I don't know why I can't embed YT videos in some forums!!!

I was also testing my new pouch. All summer I thought it would be nice to have a pouch that I could add accessories to when needed...such as GPS, camera, extra batteries, watch, etc. Worked well. I used the green one(the first that I built) and it has some minor problems that I think are fixed with the brown version. Three key features are: webbing attachment points, high visibility interior of the treasure pocket, and zippered "quick dump" junk pocket. I call it the Tactical Assault Pouch.

Good job on the dimes!

I love the wet knee pic too.

Great hunt for this time of the year. And great idea on the "quick dump" aspect of the pouch. Thanks for sharing both! Gives me something to work on this winter, between research, ,shoveling, mapping, more shoveling, categorizing last year's finds, and more shoveling.....HH Randy
