Thanks Pa Pa Joe, So what kind of metal is a Mig for ????
I have a Rallys wire mesh lake scoop N I brazed a 4 Arm Handle on it, It hase nice Brazing on the Scoop part,
Thow its not aluminum with a weld on the Lip I think that shold go 1/2 the way around??? Mic

Thanks for the pics on how a proper weld is supposed to look. The first pic is a perfect example to show proper penetration and uniform. Now everyone can see what we have been talking about. If you match that weld up with the welds on the scoop in question, theres no comparison about strength and quality workmanship. I use to repair emergency equiptment for about 15+ years and also used what I repaired. I was always proud of my work. Our welds were safety checked before the equiptment could be released back into use. I know this scoop isn't safety equiptment, but it's still being sold to and used by consumers none the less. JMO
