New spot, shows promise.:twodetecting: F 75 LTD2 DST

Haven't posted for a while, so thought I would post todays hunt.

Chris and I checked out a new spot this morning that as close as we can tell probably has seen some traffic since the 50's. At some point in time dirt has been moved around, but none the less, shows promise. My buddy actually made the find of the day with a wide and hefty ladies gold wedding band. Probably 8-9 grams of 14k. He was also the wheat king today. I didn't get one.

My 1st good target was a 44d war nickel. Camera was still in my ditty bag on that one. Swung by the car and got the camera and swished my way out toward one end of the field. About 2/3rds of the way along nailed the 925 marked locked. Maybe 20 minutes later snagged a 42d Washington quarter. Along the way got a small feeling 66 reading with no Feo bars showing so dug it. It was a pin with a Eagle on the front with the # 10. Perhaps a 10 year service pin. As we were calling it a wrap and just a few yards from my vehicle I got a nice 76 reading and popped a 43 Mercury dime. Plenty of clad and cents to keep one busy. Swing good everyone. HH jim tn

Sure does look like a good spot - whenever you find that many quarters odds are you're the first one in a long time to swing a detector! :detecting:

We know where you and Chris will be every morning for awhile... Great finds Jim... tell Chris congrats on that 14K ring..

Are you both using F75's ???

Yeah, no reason to suspect a coil had been over the spot for quite some time. Don't think it will turn out anything like the "BANK" Chris and I ran into, but we had almost 200 coins between us. About 2/3rds of my 31 nickels came from a spill. Wasn't un-common for them to come out of the ground is stacks of 2's and 3's. After-1-, did enjoy the hunt and thanks. HH jim tn

Finding new spots to hunt is the key to finding more silver, my brother WV62 and myself found a new spot about two weeks ago and it has produced some silver for us and we've still got some more hunting to do before we quit. Jim that's another quality hunt that you and Chris had in your new spot.
