HELLO TO ALL. NEW TO THIS FORUM. NAME IS JIM. BEEN MD'ING A SHORT TIME. I USE AN ACE 150. ENJOY READING ALL THE POSTS AND SEEING THE EXCELLENT PICTURES. HOPE TO HAVE SOME GOOD FINDS SOON. THANX FOR LETTING ME PARTICIPATE .:|

Welcome aboard and post your finds when you can.

Welcome abord Jim. That 150 is a good machine, I just graduated up to a 250.....but my boy just kicked my butt this am with his 150.......good luck and post those finds!!!!

Welcome. Most of us like looking at any photos of any old thing that has been dug up out of the ground. With Winter coming, I will have to stop detecting but I find it helps my sanity to see that some folks are able to get out. What I'm trying to say is post photos of everything! It's all good!

Chris

Welcome Jim! My name is Jim also, just started detecting myself recently after putting it down for 25 years. Where do you hail from?

Good to see you. Ive been doing this nearly twenty years, and find something new to interest me all the time. There are times when I dont have the fire of enthusiasm, and times when I do. But I rarely fail to be thrilled and refreshed on some level by my time behind a detector.
I hope you get the same feeling.

Again, welcome.

That ACE 150 packs a pretty good punch as you have already discovered. If you have any questions, just ask. We were all in your shoes at one time too. :)

Welcome aboard bud. You have just hopped onto the best Garrett Forum on the net. We'll be looking forward to hearing of your success and seeing pics of your finds. Glad to have ya.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Sorry to be so late in replying but I got called away right after I posted the intro. I now live in Greenville, SC but I am originally from around Asheville,NC. I've been here since June of 1996. I'll be 72 years (old or young?) on Sat. Nov. 1 . I realy like hunting old places and dry sand beaches (when I can get there). Yes, the ACE 150 does a very good job and it's very easy to use - and a big plus - it's so light and easy to swing. Well, that's enough about me ! One question before I go - if I have a question on my detector, should I just post the question and get the feedback from all of you? Seems like the best way to do it. OK, so have a good 'un, all.

I have a good buddy who lives in Asheville. He owns Buel Trucking Company. You're around my age. Welcome to the " Old Farts Club."
