I won the eBay bid for an older model Tesoro Compadre with the 7" coil, it arrived this morning and it is mint and works perfectly. A woman that works with my wife told her that she lost a gold ring 40 or so years ago. She remembers that she lost it in the flower garden but she isn't sure if it was at her place or her husbands (boy friend at the time) place. It was a ring that he gave her before they were married, he passed away a few years ago and I would love to find it for her. Not sure how big of an area the flower gardens are as I have never been to either place but am eager to start searching when the weather permits and when her & I can get together at a time that will work for us. I just sold a 7" coil one , didin't want to part with it but this economy and me having 3 tesoros already and only 2 arms, made the decision more bearable, lol but i'm keeping my 5.75 for life. Regadless I have hit smalll gold rings at iron setting and run on it pretty much all the time. Good luck with you r hunt I'm sure you will find many treasures and hopefully the ring as well.
