New to me Quattro

Gang,
Just got a Quattro sent that looks brand new. It has the stock coil. I took it out with me today (along with my SE Pro) and tested it out on targets. I have the sens at 20. I seem to only get 6" max in mild soil. Anyone have suggestions? I want to keep this machine because I love FBS machines, but I need more depth. Thanks is advance.

Congrats on the quattro....I leave my sensitivity on auto, but then, I hunt fields, woods and beaches away from EMI , getting maximum depth( +12 inches most coins)

are you getting repeating tones on those deep coins and are you using the stock coil?

Yes, I only have the stock pro coil on my Safari and deep coins at that depth can and do return repeatable tones. Coins on edge may appear faint,but as you've learned on the SE, we all combine audio, tid and expertise to determine if a target is worth digging,,
