New to the GPX, question on target size.

I'm new to the GPX and have only used it a few times. I was looking over the timing charts trying to figure out what timings to use in different scenarios. So far I have only used it for coins and relics, but plan on gold nugget hunting in a few weeks. When the chart says small, medium and large targets, what determines size? Is a coin or ring considered small or medium size? Thanks for any help you can give.

I emailed Minelab as to what constitutes a small target, their answer was a target less than 1g.

Thanks for the information. Knowing what is considered small helps a lot. Now I can concentrate on timings that favor medium and large targets.
