New to the minelab group

Just got my first minelab its the explores xs.Very interested to see how it compares to my compass gold scanner pro. What I have already noticed is that it is heaver then the g.s.p Need spring to hurry and get here in Michigan as I'm getting detector fever.

I have nver used a Compass detector but, welcome to the Minelab Forum. You have made a great choice in detectors that is for sure.

Hey digger..welcome to the minelab group..I started with an xs a couple years ago..i can just about guarantee you will be happy with it..except for the weight...this forum gets pretty exciting in the summer when all of us snow bunnies get to get out..just take your time learning the sounds..and you will be surprised at how well the xs does. This looks to be a fun forum. My hunting buddy just got the e-trax so needless to say the warm weather will not get here quick enough.
