Hi all, wanted to join this Finds Forum after seeing some of Skully's loot on another site! Been MD'g (or have had the HABIT as it is sometimes called) since about March of this year. Use a Bounty Hunter Land Ranger, works great in the dry sand area of the ocean beaches I usually hunt. Had some luck in parks/schools as well. It's not great in the wet/packed sand area. Concentration of mineral build up in those areas I think. Had the cushioned arm support snap off one day while hunting. The Bounty Hunter people were great and shipped out a complete upper shaft assembly, no questions asked! I am looking forward to viewing and posting on this site!

have you had a chance to compare that landranger to any other detector? i have a landstar and was thinking of upgrading and have been looking at the land ranger. looking forward to your posts!!! welcome aboard.

Sorry, the Land Ranger is my first and only detector so far. I don't have any experience with other units. The Land Ranger has worked great for me, the only draw back is in the wet sand as I stated above. My hunting partner uses a White's Prizm III. We do about the same on the beaches we hunt.
