Howdy Hal,

You already know how I feel about the Toltec ll, I think you will like it once you get the :tesoro: plucking out those deep buttons in the nails.

[attachment 260330 101_1370607x1077.jpg]You mean one of these things

I heard its a deep machine, my freind was using one and found an 1868 dime at an old farm and he is looking for a tolteck two if I ever find one its one detector I will snapp up they hold value very well because they are good performers. Kinda like a statavarious is to violins, you did good one that one .

I use to sell Tesoro in the 90s and we have a Toltec II i kept it from stock, i could tell it was a keeper right of the bat.
Used it every day sence 1994 or 5....this year it would not fire up...so yesterday it was shipped to the Tesoro factory to be fixed...and hopefuly retuned...they told my buddy it would be there for a month.
We have used it a long time and it is a very deep machine and 1 of the first machines with a back light in the meter...we have found more gold jewerly with it than any other detector....it loves Indian head pennys... easyly hits a large penny in the ground at 9"....never had an EMI problem with it ...built like a tank....and the look and style of the Toltec was way ahead of it`s time....when hip monted the meter stays on the rod and light enough to swing all day.
I just don`t sleep well without a Tesoro in the house.

Glad I found someone that will enjoy a good detector hope my new Vaquero will be just as good to me

 The Toltec ll is a deep running machine ,the audio goes a lot deeper than the meter and you can take the meter off and run it with out it . dig all of the soft smooth sounds.I had one and gave it to my brother about ten years ago been trying to get it back for a while.
