hello everyone im new too the minelab "dark side" i traded for a explorer xs and was wondering if anyone has any helpfull tips too start me off with this minelab detector it would be much appreciated i think im in for a real treat with this one :thumbup: thanks
 
All these guy's on hear are a super help too. But Andy's book will bring a lot to light for you. plus some setting to try till you get yours settings you like. Good hunting to you.
 
Welcome and I agree that this site is full of great knowledgeable people and with getting Andy's book.
 
That XS is a killer machine. Take your time...swing her slow...don't try too much too fast...and you'll be justly rewarded.
 
I just recently switched from M6 to Explorer ll. I liked my M6, but was not hitting the deeper silver. I bought Andy's book and using the Bryce's program listed in the book, I broke my silver drought and picked up a 42 Merc yesterday. I know one coin does not make a machine, but it is starting to work for me. Just be patient and I am betting you will love your Minelab. Good Luck to your new endeavors.
