A Fantastic Night
Posted 10 hours ago
This journey sure is filled with highs and lows. Just when you think things aren't going to get any better Brian surprises us...big time!!

Our home/health nurse came by yesterday to check on Brian. He was running a fever of 101 but was in good shape otherwise. She helped us adjust Brian's meds to maximize their benefits and this led to our fantastic night.

About an hour after she left, Brian indicated he wanted to get into his wheelchair. Then he wanted to change his shirt and put on some clean shorts. Then he wheeled out to the dining room table where he started putting together a Bionicle, a gift from his aunt Angie. He was up at least 2 hours before he went back to bed!

Now for the fantastic part. He slept all night!! Carol and I only had to get up a couple of times to assist him. All three of us got some much needed rest.

Thank you very much for your thoughts, prayers and support!!

Doug and Carol
