New update on Cliff........................

I went to the dr today for my office visit and the one I had to see me had been visiting Cliff in the hosp and she was surprised that I knew him and was his sister....after viewing my medical records! She told me that a Dr. Burns was going to see Cliff and talk to him and he did! He also told me when I was visiting Cliff after taking his Bible and reading glasses to him that Cliff doesn't have much longer to live....maybe days or weeks! They haven't moved him to the VA or home, as the VA haven't agreed to his being in the hospital there, as yet, and they said I wouldn't be able to take care of him like I should, for he needs 24 hr care! His medicines for his PAH (Pulmonary Arterieal Hypertension Disease) have not helped him as he can't tolerate them and his eyes show he is not getting better but worse!!

After the dr talked to me, I couldn't help being in tears and almost crying but didn't want to cry around Cliff, although I believe he has accepted the fact that he won't be with us very long! He wanted his Bible and reading glasses and can read since sitting up in a lounge chair which they help him in and out of and also his bed! He has to be careful because he blacks out and falls, as I've told you before about breaking his poor nose twice and bleeding profusely! He uses sthe portable potty and doesn't like a bedpan right now! He is attached to all kinds of tubes including a foley attached to a urine bag! I will miss him when his spirit and soul leaves his mortal body but I don't want him to suffer any longer, for his inablity to breathe is really hard on him and he suffocates when he lacks oxygen by coughing or choking! His food is pureed now to try to keep him from choking on it!

I called his ex-wife, Carrie, and she will let the rest of the family know! She and his granddaughters want to come up, but none of them have any money, so please pray that God will supply the funds for them to get up here and back so he can see them before anything happens! My sister, Carolyn, is going to try to come back up Sunday to visit him again! I will have his past hosp and medical bills to pay and will be paying for the funeral. He took out Ins but it has been only a few months since he started paying for it, and unless he dies of an accident, they won't pay until it has been good for two years. They will pay back what he has paid in though, not much, but it will help with expenses!

Only God knows why he is not being healed miraculously from this terrible and uncureable disease, but His will is done and He knows better than we do why things happen as they do! Cliff and I know Jesus, personally, soooo we will see each other again someday in our eternal life with Him! Amen! Thank you for your prayers! God Bless! Betty

Yes, it is and thank you Steve, for we both know the Lord and He is with us and will not leave nor forsake us! Amen! God Bless! Betty

Thank you Leslie....Cliff was too ill at first to read his Bible but has improved enough to read now and he read it while he was staying here with me! Cliff loves our Lord Jesus and I do too! God Bless! Betty

When I was in the water this moning I was prayin g for Cliff and you. I will continue sister.

oh ,what a delight that waits for him ,to finally see the face of JESUS ,to feel imortal, pain free.no more suffering,no more hurting !
to be in paradise with the lord and see the wonders that he has made for his children.he will be missed but only for a short while, for we at some time will make this voyage also.
it amazes me every morning when i open the newspaper how many have passed on to another world of torture and pain that will last forever.without JESUS you are lost forever ! so many young people who were not planning on dieing all of a sudden lost their lifes.death is only a breath away,or a step away.lord help us to be a witness to someone who needs JESUS.amen.

Praying for peace, comfort, and rest, Ma. We love ya!

Lisa

Thanks you, Mike me son, isn't it great that we can pray and talk to God anytime and anywhere? If not out loud than in silence, for God knows what we need before we even ask, but He wants us to ask and give Him thanks just like we do or did our own parents, for He is our heavenly Father! Thank you again for praying and asking God to help Cliff and me! God Bless! Betty
