New Vaquero on the way!

Hey folks, Just ordered a new Vaquero and just wanted to see if anyone has hunted Civil War relics with one and how it performed. I needed an all around detector and one that is easy to use for when my daughter is with me. I have been going back and forth between the Vaquero and the Tejon, but locally here in Georgia some of the Tejon users are complaining that they are unstable due to our soil conditions and most have sold them, so the Vaquero won out. Thanks to Rusty and Robert @ Tesoro for all their help (can't say enough about Tesoro's support) and Mike (53 Silver) for the great video's that helped me decide on the Vaquero. Thanks!

Congradulations! I love my Vaq. Here in NJ we have a lot of iron ore in the pine barrens and the Vaq. has no problem with it.

I am on the coast near Savannah and my Cibola does the job on CW relics around here.

I do plan on getting a Vaquero or Outlaw later this year.

Can't decide just yet, waiting for some field reports on how the Outlaw performs on relics.

It's super light weight and goes really deep for the good stuff.

Congrats on your selection of the "V". It's an outstanding detector. Super tuning, or operating in the red zone as I call it, will get you another 2 - 4 inches depending on conditions.

I'm in North Ga. Almost bought a Cibola at the Eastman's show earlier in the year, one heck of a price, but figured the manual ground balance is a must for up here. I have a brother in Dublin and hope to make it down that way when it cools off.

Thanks Hank, I have watched all of them. I think he might have missed his calling? Next decision will the Outlaw or the Golden if I can talk myself into ever giving up my Sidewinder. That thing is one sweet machine, but of course it is a Tesoro!
