That's me there in the camouflage coat. I did very well by the end of that weekend in early November. A 2 reale, British silver shilling, about 6 coppers including my late 1600's Portuguese. Handful of buttons etc. This past weekend a buddy of mine and myself were filmed detecting at the ADT hunt. This new video is to help other clubs etc. around the country to sort of mimic what Barry and the ADT are doing down in Long Island. And Minelab.......well let me say they are playing a big role in this. They are from what I am told, the first company to help the hobbyists obtain land that they can use a detector as fine as the Etrac on. Go:minelab: I did not have much as far as finds from this past weekend but I sure had a great time!! A large cent 1849, 1864 Indian, 4 flat buttons, 5 various buckles, and a beautiful skeleton key. The most enjoyable part of the weekend was just getting out in the fresh air to detect with really great people who enjoy this hobby as much as I do.

On a side note, what a powerful detector this Etrac is!! I used TTF all weekend and after several other detectorists finished up hitting around a big tree in the Field that was totally iron infested, and when I say several I'm talking about 15 different guys and girls finished swinging, I walked over to that tree with Barry sporting his Etrac with same setup and we walked away with about a half dozen keepers including 3 buckles and 2 Indian heads. That's not to mention the other 2 dozen conductive targets that all said "dig" to them in this particular iron infested area. This was all done in less than an hour. TTF is no joke out in fields and cellar holes.

Awesome Joe. It was good to meet you, even if on film! Congratulations on everything. The finds and the chance to represent the hobby. Take care and thanks for the link. Very well done!

That video was very well done. Thanks for posting. Great to see what its like detecting up there. A long way from the deep south, but I'd sure feel at home in that field. Good luck to you all.
