New Whites Dual Field

DualFieldRookie

New member
Hello all, I am new to this forum, and also new to metal detecting.I bought a new whites surf pro pi dual field yesterday, does anyone else own one? I am wondering what I can expect from this detector.

I don't know anyone else who has one, but you should be pleased with it. The dual field coil gives improved pinpointing and sensitivity to small objects. I believe the pulse delay control has been re-introduced so, together with the gain control, you should be able to optimise it for most beach conditions, both in and out of the water.

Eric.

Thanks for the info Eric, I took it to the beach today, found 1 penny, 1 dime, 1 quarter, and two small pieces of metal from a pop can.One of the pop can pieces (about 1 inch square) was nearly a foot deep! I am trying to learn how to optimise this detector, what I did at the beach was run the gain wide open, the pulse delay at minimum, and the threshold just loud enough to hear it.Does that sound right for the beach Eric?
