New White's PI Confirmed

Hi,

Jimmy Sierra posted near the end of the thread at http://www.nuggethunting.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=3909 confirming a new PI in the works at White's.

"I have been fortunate from the beginning to be able to work with Whites engineer and Eric Foster in laying out the interface etc. and testing its performance in the field".

...the word I got from a very reliable and confidential source described it as being similar to the Minelab GPX 4000 with the large (and heavy) battery pack and retailing in the somewhere in the $1,500.00 range. Of course, we won't know for sure until it hits the market.

Hi,

The unit is configured nothing like a Minelab. But I agree no reason to get excited until it is actually produced for purchase. But White's does not normally confirm units unless they are very imminent so I do not think we will be waiting too long.

Then again if the unit is only $1500 I will get excited. I'd order one sight unseen for that price. White's does not always make great units but they almost never produce a real turkey either. But I guess we will have to wait and see what it really costs.

More choices is always good. I'm not ditching my GPX-4000 but I would not mind getting another option to play with.

Too bad about the Pulse Devil.. might be another year till it's released and the mining seson is starting up. I just might end up buying one of those rumoured White's PI's myself. ..willy.

I like Steve, both professional dealers and work with White's and Jimmy Sierra on Prototype Testing....

I am limited in what I can say regarding Horsesoldier's 'Cofidential and Reliable' source...

To infer its a Different Shade of GPX4000 at a Fraction of the price is absolutely absurd.

I've read a lot of speculation and other than PI technology, folks are off base and will just have to wait and see. Anything less is just speculation.

Steve... no more information to those with their Reliable and CONFIDENTIAL Sources, I mean, if their so Reliable and Confidential, why put out the information that you and I know is MIS-INFORMATION.

What happened to the "You can expect an announcement sometime before 4th of July as the enhancements are made to the Prototype".

Eric Foster's detectors are hardware, Minelab is software run. It will probably be off the same platform as the Goldscan 5 with diferences. Don
