XP presenting some new stuff for 2016 in press conference (starting at minute 19)

Hi,
the elliptic coil will be (according to Alain loubet) a 24 cm X 12 cm (I let you make the conversion) and will have a range of frequencies from 10 kHz to 40 kHz, it's gonna be awesome for mineralized soils and ferrous infested!!

See ya

Edit : sorry for the doubloon, Andy has already described this new coil in a another post,

Thx for the conversion, unfortunately no price has been released yet... it seems that another new stuff about the deus is in the xp's bag, but only a few knows what it is about... I'm not on that case but I'm still looking for ;)

4.75 x 9.5 about the size of the NEL Sharpshooter.
Know anything about the price?

Not a big coil then but not too small either, hope its deeper than the Nel Sharpshooter.

As for the price , wont be cheap and if it works well then France can say goodbye to its deficit :)

Let's say that Xp company will increase its benefits but France won't say goodbye to its deficit (unfortunately). At least we, french metal detectors, will be happy with these new features incoming, that's what matters LOL

You do pretty darn good with your English, sometimes I wonder about mine and I was born in the states.

Can you tell us in a condensed form what high points were talked about in the video?

well, i thouth that pictures say more than words..the video starts with the xp history and development of the brand, success, need for bigger factory building a.s.o.
the new devices (starting at 18:50) are a cache locator (very similar to garrett's "treasure hound eagle eye" coil with gti 2500), a pinpointer and a new elliptical coil.
deus v4 has new reactivity settings, better detecting abilities on wet sand/beaches and higher frequencies

I very cant wait for that coil.

First I'd like to say thank you El for you nice words, I'm gonna blush ;)

So as Alex74 (surely a french guy from french Alpes) just said in a previous post, the most important part of the video is the end where Xp's boss is talking about new accessories and the V4.

I just want to focus on the pinpointer which is designed to communicate with earphones using the wireless connection, this pinpointer will allow through a mobile app to save some datas (as ground mineralization, ferrous rates, coins, etc) superimposed on a google earth background. The pinpointer will be control by the remote control and sounds will be the same as your enabled progam in the Deus. The first coil that will be released will be the smallest and elliptic one but it seems that a new range of coils will appear in the future, also designed to work from 10 Khz to 40 khz.
I don't have more informations about the 2box, but it should make happy fans of very big holes, which I'm not.

Obviously, V4 will allow to raise the reactivity, the frequencies, the mineralized soil penetration such as beach and surely another stuff that Mr Loubet didn't want to tell us at the moment, but I'm pretty sure that something bigger will be announced.

See ya

@Alex : nice to meet you on a US forum lol, Lorraine must me a difficult territory to metal detect with the ww2 occupation and the high number of shrapnel pieces (when it's not explosives shells )...be careful and I wish you to make nice finds :)
see ya

I think we all will be happy with whats coming out , especially if there is more than one coil .

I was only joking about the deficit , English humour ! might be able to clear the English deficit too :D

I'm not smiling myself. I was hoping for an improvement in the Deus' ability to handle/ID good old Yankee modern park trash(aluminum) and bottle caps but we don't have any details yet so maybe that will be part of it. The coil size , if accurate , is a hit but low conductive ID without having to push buttons would put it out of the park.

No machine is any good in parks with modern trash like bottle tops and Aluminium , it will always be a problem. Best thing is to dig all .

None may be good , but some are better , and the Deus isn't best. :)

i am very interested in the new elliptical coil but wonder what those higher frequencies can do for us? Does anyone have any idea? in reading Andy's book we see that the 18k program is sensitive to smaller targets and tiny aluminum so what will 40 K do?
having that wireless probe will be nice as i have to remove one of the headphones now to be able to hear the pin pointer... then put the headphone back on... that really gets annoying after a while...
