My Deus will be here tomorrow. Wondering if the Deus handbook is worth buying? Will be using the deus for coin shooting and relic hunting.

Thanks for any advice

Andys book is a must read... imo and Garys xp deus expert training youtube videos

Some folks are not so good at taking the written word and in fairness Andy has gone to a lot of trouble with all his books.

With that in mind for some folks the numerous Videos by Gary will be favorite.

I must admit that I like to watch a show me how with practical things and his videos do just that also with a chance to replay..

Happy Hunting,

Jerry.

Yes as mentioned above the videos by Gary on YouTube are the best I learned way more watching those..

I have gone to both the XP and the CTX 3030 class. I learn better in class than books both have done both and will go again if he get close to VA, again.

Obviously, don't forget the owners manual.

The handbook is better than most manufacturers for the fundamentals, but if its not supplied, forget it and buy Andys. The only thing I keep beside me and read more are the scriptures.

I am in the process of reading his book after getting my Deus a couple of weeks ago. It good like all of Andy's books. It is written for software V3.2 so you need to be familiar with what the V4.0 changes are. The first 100 pages or so gets you going.

I also watched the various videos out there. They work hand in hand with the explanations in the book. While the instruction manual has everything it's not always that clear. One thing you won't like is te hardcopy manual that comes with the detector is V3.2 and they have a sheet inside for the V4.0 updates. I printed a new manual off the manufacter's site.

Thanks for all of the comments. Been watching the videos and ordered the book this morning.

Thanks to all and merry Christmas

"calabash digger" - nailed it !
Also, from my own experience - if you get out in the dirt with your Deus right away - it will make it a lot easier to relate to what your reading and watching in the video's !

Good Luck ! :detecting:
