Hi Everyone,
I'm new to this site. My friend Kim told me about it. I am active in prospecting for gold but also love to look for relics and coins etc. I have a Whites MXT 300.I am OK with the performance but not totally sold. it is a great multi-purpose detector as I am finding. I'm sure most all of you have an opinion about what detector is best for relic/jewelry and then gold. I would love to hear what you all have to say.

I live in Southern California, anyone else around my area?

The finds many of you have are wonderful.
Hope to hear back

I don't know much of anything about which machines are good for gold, since that's not what I hunt for, but if the MXT300 is anything like the regular MXT in terms of performance, it's a solid machine. I hunted a bit with somebody who had one, and he was getting signals that I was barely able to pick up with the explorer.
