Newbie Getting supplies in order

New member
New to metal detecting. Been collecting other tools to go along with my Fisher F2 w/ NEL Tornado coil.
Just got in Lesche Sampson Pro-Series T-Handle Shovel with Serrated Blade. Love it and it matches my Leshe digging tool, which I also love. I was using an old Jim Bowie knife before that! lol Just ordered a Deteknix Xpointer pinpointer. Read some good reviews of it. Anyone tried it yet ? $93 shipped.Awaiting its delivery. Video on it looked awesome. Was going to get the garrett but been reading about lots of falsing issues after a couple of months use?? Last thing I just got and it is a God send is the detecting buddy strap. Makes the detector almost weightless. Takes a lot of the stress off my once shatterred elbow! I highly suggest it to anyone with shoulder or elbow problems or anyone on a long hunt and they are only $20 on Ebay.

I did get permission to hunt an old church. It used to be the grade school many years ago. I found it out while researching my city. The church did not even know it used to be the school. There is a nice mowed grassy field in behind it that would make for easier hunting. Hoping no one else has hunted it or if they have my NEL coil will get me deeper and find left overs! Been waiting on some cooler temperatures. Suppose to be in the 70's this weekend I may try to make it over there. Then again a stringer of fish waiting to be deep fried sounds good too! Maybe I can squeeze both in!

Welcome to the forum., it sounds like you are all set to go detecting. Are you from around the Peoria IL area?

Welcome to the forum. Hope you're out detecting soon and finding some awesome items. HH, Nancy
