Newbie needs help! Whites GM V/SAT question

Kidd

Hi, I just bought a like new whites goldmaster v/sat. It looks as though it has never been used. It comes with a 6 by 10 whites gold master coil. It looks like the original coil. Is this a DD coil? It does not indicate that on the coil or anywhere in the manual. I would like to buy a dd coil for it, but don't want to waste my money if that is already what I have. Any help greatly appreciated, thank you, Kidd

just after the GM4B was released in the late 90's. Your coil is a concentric. If you buy a used DD make sure it does not give a false signal when tapped or hit against something while swinging. Some of the early DD's got out with loose inserts allowing the windings to move a bit creating false signals.
