newbie question...

I personally will never sell anything of mine. I haven't found anything extremely valuable yet to be tempted.. and it would have to be worth a ton for me to even to start thinking about it. I mainly treasure hunt for the historic coolness of the finds.

The only monetary return I get from TH is recirculating my junk clad coins.

Seems the popular place to sell finds are eBay or other site auction areas/forums. I think eBay would give you the best 'protection' as a seller.

I occasionally give something away, and I will cash in my clad coins, but I keep the good stuff, silver coins, relics, etc.

I also don't want anyone to give me something they found. I prefer to find it myself "in the wild". I don't know why, I just enjoy remember the fun of finding it I guess.

I've just bought an Excaliber. It might be different for Gold Jewelry. Especially beat up stuff. I would probably part with that if I could sell it.
