Hi,
Just got my Ace 250 in the mail last night. Took it out and worked great finding "Pop cans" Our back field is loaded with them. Did find a penny,so 'm on my way.
I want to thank every one on this site for the info I have gleaned already. I lurked about for 2 weeks and made my decision on my equipment based primarily from what I read hear.
I would like to pass some info on about wireless headsets. I am I "Jerry Rigger" by hobby, so when I saw from some of the posts that wireless was possible I decided to try.
Walmart online (Not in stores) has the Sentry H0900 for $19.91 with free shipping to store for pickup. These seem to work great so far. I mounted mine under the control box by drilling two holes in the upper case of the transmitter (after taking it apart) and used the screws that hold the control box. It snugged right up. The attachments are pictures.
I tried it out in different areas with power lines around and got no interference.
I am excited and want to get out more before the snow flies here in Iowa.
