newbie

Hi guys,
Newbie, here i posted in metal detecting forum. I wanted to thank you for all the Ace 250 tips, advice and acticles on this forum
they have been very helpful. I started in aug 09.
My 2009 Ace250 totals are:
$64 in clad
1 10K wedding band
2 14K religious medallions
1 nice stailess steel band
1911 V nickle
1897 indian head
some wheats
10,000 pull tabs

Good to be here, Epi

Welcome aboard bud. This is the place to be. Sounds like you've gotten off to a pretty good start. Just keep plugging away and your finds will increase.

Sounds like you are doing great! I've lost track of how many pull tabs I've dug. Some types are easy to tell, both those blighters with the rounded ends sound like coins. At least they tend to bounce on the ID; probably the best way to tell.

Looks like the tips and advice sure paid off for you.
That's some pretty impressive finds for just getting
started. Good hunting to you !

Now, i just need to learn find old deep coins (silver).I have high frequency hearing loss sometimes i think i can't
hear the faint signals, if that occurs with the Ace, since it is loud.

Is that a challenge OLD MAN oops i mean oldranger can't take you up on that with family, work and house projects
i can't get out as often as I"d like.

The beauty about Garrett machines is that the tones aren't modulated. Instead of hearing faint signals, Garrett machines just give shorter signals. Bottom line in that you have the perfect detector for your ears!

Welcome aboard bud! Good luck to ya, it sounds like you got a great start already!:garrett:

Bad thing with those .22 shell cases is they ring up as a penny, but with the 2500 they usually show as an A size, so now I can ignore them.

The Ace is a good machine; you'll find some really great stuff....and junk too. I'm
surprised how very small the target can be. I've picked up pices of metal the size of Bee bee's.

BTW check out Garrett's book on Treasure Caches.

Good luck to you.
