newspaper article....5 minutes of fame

Leslie(nova scotia)

Well-known member
From the land of the Bluenose.....can't quite get this photographed so that you can read it. See I have a project this year..to learn this digital camera better. Anyway it's the Bedford/Sackville weekly news dated the 08Feb08. Was fun to talk about this great hobby and she got most of it right in the article.

Here is the link to read the story. A few misquotes include amount last year which she quoted as $1200 was actually half that and the email was wrong with the right one being lasarkany@hotmail.com

Great to see ya made the papers...and not the funnies this time (j/k).

I made that article into a pdf file for downloading or viewing directly. Here's the link:

I once got into the Stars & Stripes newpaper when in England...never kept a copy for myself or for the future like now...so can't show it to anyone. In pdf format you can print it out prbably better than from the newspaper it was in.

Congrats Leslie...glad to see your mugshot and not on a wanted poster

That's an impressive article, Leslie!

I commend you on your expertise, knowledge , talent and terrific attitude in this wonderful hobby!

Oh, and by the way......terrific photo!! I like that hat; I bought the same kind for Hank; he says that everytime he wears it to shopping, people compliment him on his hat..I think Hank is the only one in our little town who owns such a warm hat like that.

one pant leg up and one down? That's a gang-banger signal here! No dirt on the knees, hmmmmm! $16,000,000,000.00 last year and no evidence for this year.
Thanks for promoting the hobby and offering to find items for free. Quite the ambassador.
