Met up with Shawano to hit a few sites. The first two turned out so-so with only a few keepers to show. The last site is an old stand by that I have hit many times in the past and pulled a lot of keepers out of.

Here is Shawano going to China!

Here are Shawanos Keepers. A 1926 wheat, a neat old butter knife, a Watkins bottle (post 1890) and a neat brass pin.

My keepers, a 1937 wheat, Two silver Rosies1954 and 1952 (first two silvers for 2009) :) a 1962 CT dog tag. and half of a Mizpa pendant on half of a chain.
I also found a big brass lamp piece that is heavy and will go nice in the brass bucket, and a big peice of beautiful crock under the finds.

Close up of silver and I have to test the pendant for gold.

Congrats to you, Mike, and Shawano in getting out and doing some :twodetecting: and finding silver and other nice items! Guess you two had fun and enjoyed the warmer weather together!! Was in the high 60's here today! :) God Bless!

Where ya from?

God bless.

Mike

acid test. I have a gold and silver test kit.

How cool to be out and find a "bible" find.
The Mizpah verse is "The Lord watch between me and thee, while we are absent one from another" and is Genesis 31:49.
Looks like a great hunt

congrats Mike on the finds. I went out too. Just haven't cleaned the finds up or taken pics yet.

That bottle that Shawano got is real cool and the little pin is cute. First silver this year for you Mike and I am sure it won't be the last. You guys are off to a good start just a month late. But what could you do with January this year but shovel snow.

Well, let the Games begin ! Hurray the season has started.

Hey, I like this ! This site has a spell checker.
