NIce Ford

Went back home to Illinois for a visit a couple of weeks ago. The guy who lives across the street has this nice 1949 Ford Custom automobile. He has had it for awhile. I may have a chance to buy this in the future. The kicker.....This car used to belong to my neighbor when I was born. When my mom went into labor with me, my dad was at work, so the neighbor lady gave her a ride to the hospital in this very same car. When my neighbor could not drive anymore she gave it to her son, who kept in storage until selling it to the guy who has it now. I had not been in this car since Feburary 25, 1957, and I really don't remember the ride to the hospital. Anyway, it was good to see this car again, to be able to get my picture taken with it, and possibly set myself up to buy it in the future.

I liked the cars in the 50's as they are pretty and my ex and I had a used 1956 Ford...blue and white, it sure looked pretty but wasn't worth a dime.....had to keep spending too much money to keep it running....finally got rid of it!

It would be neat if you had a pic of you as a baby riding in the same car! Hope you get it if that is your desire! God Bless! Betty
