Nice location.....But

Hey all, Got permission to hunt an old General store from the late 1800s.......I was hyped..! Called Mark to come hit it with me....What a disappointment....so much trash..even a sniper coil was to big ! Only gave up some Wheaties !

True, Trash is everywhere at thoses places, but you have to slow down and work it a few time and get some of the trash out of you way. It will pay off ! I have seen it too many times. Someone gives up on a place because of trash thinf someone else finds great items because they worked slow and removed alot of the trash. Hope you get to work it any. God Bless. Jeff

know the feeling. Ken, Rob and I hit a ghost town (1917) the other day and seems everyone and their brother goes there to party and throw trash all over the place. We got little for our efforts.

I know how THAT can be! Sorry your trip wasn't more productive. Keep hunting and cleaning out the trash. There's bound to be more goodies there.

Lisa

Sorry to hear that, better luck next time, I am happy just finding a wheatie, my problem, I hunt to many modern places, time for something old, like me lol

Yes, some places are really trashy, as they had lots of iron on the farms and old homes because they had to do repairs or make things work themselves! No trash collectors, soooo the trash went in a trash pile or just thrown out the back door, if a person lived back in the hills! Now hunters or campers use these areas and throw all their litter there! But once the iron, aluminum and tin is out of the way, there should be some goodies unless the family was so poor they would look until they found whatever they lost! Just the chances a person has to take when :detecting: a different area whether old or new! :) God Bless! Betty
