Hi I have found a ring with what looks like an Aztec or faro's head on I cant work out what metal it is made of it has no corrosion at all, with a nice green patina, it was found 8inches down in a field in South Wales U.K. HOPEFULLY THE PICTURE COMES WITH THIS MESSAGE, ANY IDEAS WOULD HELP.

Terry U.K.

You may have to try taking it to either a Museum or someone that deals with old artifacts. To me it looks like it could be pretty old and made of Copper. Very Nice Find! I am also interested in how old it is and what it may be worth. Hope you find some info on your find and if you do, please let us know. Good Luck and HH.

Wonderful find geriant! From your description and the photo, it may be cooper. The head dress is definitely Egyptian. Happy Hunting Grounds,

Savage.

and there were many different things stylized to fit the publics' interest. Furniture, Clothing and jewelry were just a few of the things made with Egyptian influences to cater to peoples tastes. Believe it or not, you could even buy genuine Mummy's and many people did just that. In fact, it was quite the social gathering when your Mummy finally arrived. It was set up in the parlor and then you invited all of your closest friends over for the unveiling. Eventually the novelty wore off and the Mummy's were discarded. Some were buried out in the "back 40" while others were simply hauled off with the mornings trash. Anyway..... maybe your ring came from the late 20's era when the fad was at it's peak. just FYI.
